So many great inventions, lost to museums and the scrapheap because of eventual financial infeasibility. VFET, Concorde, Lockheed SR-71, XB-70 Valkyrie, the Tucker mobile, certain engine and car designs: awe-inspiring stuff, lightyears ahead of their time. Could go on for a long time but here's just a few examples of stuff that gets me going...
